The full name of the town is: Santa Cruz de la Sierra. (because there is another Santa Cruz in Bolivia, too). It was our first stop in Bolivia. You can go there from the Brazilian border ( town: Corumbá) by train, but we went from Paraguai by bus.
The climate is tropical hot and you have to get used to it, depending where you come from.
It is not difficult to find accomodation and you can select one from a broad variety.

Around the center with a well kept park you find shops, sellers and markets.
