We came from Piura by plane and then by bus to Talara and further to Lobitos, but there is also a small airport in Talara.
The food is better to buy in Talara, the next city about 40 minutes from Lobitos. There you have a big variety at the market and small restaurants around.
The Peruan coast has a lot of variety of sea food and of intensive flavor. "Ceviche" for example, is made of raw seafood with lemon and mixed with salad. They prepare the food in front of your eyes in small shops or in restaurants.
From Talara to Lobitos you have a bus shuttle service, the buses wait until they are full. It is only a 40 minutes ride.

There are a lot of "pousadas", small family hotels with good prices. At the beach you find cafes and restaurants. We were asking ourselves why so many restaurants - until the weekend.
